Dr. Jones’ professional practice extends over 30 years in counseling, supervision and consultation. She sees people from diverse ethnic, racial, socioeconomic and religious backgrounds. Annie is a warm, engaging counselor and seeks to understand the whole person: physical, psychological, relational and spiritual. Much of her therapeutic training was done under the supervision of Dr. Albert Ellis, the renowned psychologist who developed the pioneering form of therapy known as Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy.
“Whatever may be, I am still largely the creator and ruler of my emotional destiny.” Dr. Albert Ellis
Annie was married for 32 years and is the proud mother of three children and grandmother of four grandchildren. Her religious training started in The United Methodist Church, St. Louis, Missouri. Annie lived most of her adult life in Ann Arbor, Michigan, home of The University of Michigan Wolverines. Living in a city with a Big Ten School, her activities were centered on academics, social events and football.
Being a mother of three children she found ways to care for her mental, physical and spiritual health through tennis, swimming, yoga, meditation and involvement with the Episcopal Church. She had great supportive friends and family. In The Woodlands, Texas her life is quieter now with a focus on biblical development. She also likes to read, exercise, travel and spend time with family and friends.
